Miss World 2025 is set to take center stage as Telangana proudly hosts the prestigious 72nd Miss World Festival from May 7 to May 31, 2025. All eyes will be on Telangana as it prepares to welcome participants from 140 nations, offering a transformative platform to showcase its vibrant culture, heritage, and tourism potential on an unprecedented scale. 

The announcement was made at a grand pre-launch press conference at Plaza Hotel, Hyderabad, attended by esteemed dignitaries and global representatives.The press conference commenced with a traditional pooja ceremony, symbolizing a blessed and prosperous beginning for the event. 

The occasion was graced by Mr. Jupally Krishna Rao Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Excise, Government of Telangana; Ms. Julia Morley, CBE, Chairman and CEO, Miss World Limited; Ms. Krystyna Pyszková, the reigning 71st Miss World from the Czech Republic; Mr. Patel Ramesh Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Tourism Development Corporation; and Ms. Smita Sabharwal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture, Archaeology & Youth Affairs, Government of Telangana.

Hosting the 72nd Miss World Festival is more than just a prestigious event; it is a strategic milestone that aligns with Telangana’s vision to position itself as a global tourism and cultural hub. With extensive international media coverage and millions of global viewers, the festival will highlight Telangana as a destination where ancient traditions harmoniously blend with modern aspirations.

Speaking on this momentous occasion, Mr. Jupally Krishna Rao Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Culture & Excise, Government of Telangana, stated: “We are immensely proud to welcome the 72nd Miss World Festival to Telangana. • Infrastructure and Connectivity: With Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and an extensive road and rail network, Telangana is well-prepared to welcome global visitors.

• Cultural Promotion through Arts, Crafts, and Cuisine: The event will spotlight Telangana’s traditional handlooms (Pochampally, Gadwal, and Gollabhama sarees), art forms (Cheriyal paintings, Karimnagar silver filigree), and exquisite local cuisine, creating a unique cultural showcase.
