In a continued commitment to preserving ecologically sensitive water bodies, the Vice Chairman, Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) today conducted a comprehensive visit to Dal Nigeen Lake, including Khushalsar and Gilsar.

The Vice Chairman assessed the current state of Dal Nigeen Lake and its associated water bodies, identifying areas that require immediate attention and conservation efforts. He emphasized the crucial role of the Authority in managing and conserving these sensitive ecosystems, ensuring the long-term health and sustainability of the lakes.

The visit highlighted the importance of community engagement and participation in conservation efforts, recognizing the need for comprehensive conservation strategies, incorporating scientific research, community involvement, and sustainable practices to ensure the effective management and preservation of Dal Nigeen Lake and its associated water bodies.

Directions were issued for time bound preparation of DPRs for conservation, management and cleaning up of lakes. This visit was part of commitment to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Kashmir's precious water bodies.
