Gurbani Sangeet is a rich tradition and the efforts of university students in organizing 'Basant Raag Darbar', highlighting their commitment to preserving and promoting traditional Gurbani Raag Parmpra said Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh while interacting the students during the three-day Basant Rag Darbar organized at Sri Gurdwara Sahib, Guru Nanak Dev University. 

The objective of this Basant Raag Darbar is to celebrated the arrival of spring and honored the ancient tradition of rag kirtan. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from university officials, employees, and students, all united in devotion to this cultural heritage. 

Prof. Amarjeet Singh, Director, Centre on Studies in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and a large number of students and staff were present. During his interaction with students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh expressed his admiration for this initiative by emphasizing its significance: "The presence of such a large gathering in this Rag Darbar is a testament to how deeply our new generation is connected to our rich traditions. 

On this occasion, University students Amandeep Singh Jhunir, Harsleen Kaur, Bavneet Kaur, and Hasandeep Singh remarked on how initiatives like Basant Rag Darbar not only enhance spiritual connection but also foster community engagement among students. 

Renowned Raagi Jathas Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Rababi from Hazuri Ragi Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Dr. Bhai Gurinder Singh Batala, Bhai Jatinder Singh and Bhai Hasandeep Singh from GNDU's Music Department captivated audiences with their renditions of kirtan in Basant Rag over three days. 

Following the concluding ceremony filled with joyful singing and prayers was Guru ka langar served abundantly for the Sangat.
