On the occasion of Newspaper Day, celebrated at Government Middle School, Dabuj Shahzada, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education J&K delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the crucial role of the press as the fourth pillar of democracy. He highlighted how the freedom of the press contributes significantly to national development by fostering a transparent and informed public.
Dr. Manyal also spoke about the importance of Republic Day celebrations, stressing that patriotic songs and cultural activities play an essential role in instilling a deep sense of pride, unity, and national identity among citizens. “The press is the Fourth Pillar of democracy, and it is essential for maintaining transparency and accountability in governance,” Dr. Manyal remarked during his address.

The event was attended by ZEPO Anil Verma and Narinder Gupta, Incharge of Government Middle School Dabuj Shahzada, both of whom supported and appreciated the significance of the day.
