Mr. Kalash Nath, District Correspondent, Prasar Bharti Kishtwar, presented a Coffee Table Book of Doordarshan News Jammu on the coverage of the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Elections to Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar.

The book, which was earlier released by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, showcases the efforts of Doordarshan News Jammu in promoting voter education and awareness during the elections.

The Coffee Table Book highlights key initiatives undertaken by the Regional News Unit (RNU) of DD News Jammu, including social media campaigns, signature drives under the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, and special voter education programs.

These efforts were designed to reach out to voters across Jammu & Kashmir, with a particular emphasis on remote areas. During the event, Kalash Nath briefed the DC on the collaborative efforts made by DD News Jammu to inform and engage the electorate, ensuring that every voter had access to essential election-related information.

The DC Kishtwar appreciated the significant contributions made by DD News Jammu, especially in increasing voter awareness in underserved areas. “I commend Kalash Nath and the entire team of DD News Jammu for their dedication to strengthening the democratic process.

The Coffee Table Book is a reflection of the collective efforts to empower voters and ensure greater participation in the electoral process,” said DC Kishtwar. The event was attended by senior officers, including DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed, District Information Officer (DIO) Kishtwar Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, along with other officials.
