Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar while coming down heavily on the Opposition from spreading rumours about illegal mining in the state said that the opposition's statements regarding illegal mining are baseless and beyond facts. He said that he has personally inspected the mining areas and found no illegal activities.
Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said this while interacting with the journalists on Wednesday at the Haryana Civil Secretariat. He shared that he has visited the hill area in Ferozepur Jhirka. He clarified that just 10 feet from the site, the land falls under Rajasthan's khasra number 62, where mining is ongoing. Blasting on that hill in Rajasthan poses a risk of landslides affecting the adjoining hill on Haryana’s side.
An FIR has been registered against such activities, shared the Minister. He further shared that he has also inspected Pichopa village in the Badhra area of Dadri district. Mining is completely stopped in that village, and no activity is taking place in the mining zones.
In the area, there is a stone crusher where an incident occurred, a worker named Subhash was slightly injured when a stone slipped from the Shiv Shakti Stone Crusher belt. Immediate medical treatment was provided to him, shared Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar.
He said that in Khasra Number 216 of Kaliyana village in Dadri district, the SBPIPL Mining Company had not deposited approximately Rs. 30 crore owed to the government. Orders have been issued to suspend the licence of this firm.
Ownership Rights to be granted to people occupying Panchayat land for over 20 years
The Development and Panchayat Minister said that the government has introduced a bill in the Assembly to grant ownership rights to individuals occupying Panchayat land of up to 500 square yards for 20 years or more. If a person built a house on Panchayat land before the year 2000, provided that the house does not fall within a pond, does not affect the phirni, and is not on agricultural land, they will be granted ownership rights at the collector rate, shared Sh.
