Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain today visited the Purab Premium Apartments at Mohali to take stock of the flats purchased by the Bhagwant Mann Government for housing officials and employees in government accommodation. Divulging the details after taking stock of the accommodations, she said that these would soon be handed over to the State Government and District Administration. 

She said that about 167 type 3 and type 2 flats have been procured by the Punjab Government from Greater Mohali Area Development Authority in the recent days. She said that today with the team of Administrative and PWD officials, these flats were visited to check the status and PWD officials were asked to check all the requisitions as per the demand of government houses. 

The PWD team was comprised of Civil and Electrical wing officials besides the officials from Water Supply and Sanitation. Deputy Commissioner said that it was a long pending demand of the Mohali officials and employees that is going to be met soon with the initiative of Punjab Government. 

She said that a demand has been sought from the district officials and employees to consider their applications as per house allotment norms of the State Government. Apart from the district officials, some of the flats would also be allotted by the Department of General Administration of Punjab Government to the state officers. 

She was accompanied by ADC Viraj S Tidke, SDM Damandeep Kaur, AC (G) Dr Ankita Kansal.
