Dr.Sangeeta Jain assumed charge as the new civil surgeon here today. She was given a warm welcome by the office staff. While assuming the charge, Dr Jain said that she would do her best for effective implementation of various National and State health programs and schemes in the district.
She said that improving the functioning of government health institutions in the district and providing better and more effective health services to the people are her top priorities. She asked the entire staff to do their duty with utmost dedication and integrity.
Dr Jain has now been serving as Deputy Director at Punjab Health Systems Corporation. Prior to that, she served as Senior Medical Officer at Sub-Divisional Hospital in Derabassi. She had joined the Health Department as a Medical Officer in 1993 and was promoted to senior medical officer in 2016.
On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr Renu Singh, DFPO Dr Tamanna, District Immunization Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, SMO Dr HS Cheema, Dr Vijay Bhagat, Personal Assistant to Civil Surgeon Davinder Singh and other officers and staff were present.
