Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting of the District Task Force Committee under the Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP), here in the DC office. The Deputy Commissioner interviewed intending candidates and approved the establishment of 27 Silkworm Rearing units, providing essential loan facilities and margin money subsidies to the beneficiaries.

The discussion also encompassed the HADP schemes for Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, and Animal Husbandry departments. To kick start silk production in Poonch, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Director of Handicrafts to organize training sessions for beneficiaries and equipping them with skills.

Furthermore, the meeting approved 160 Horticulture cases, 233 Animal Husbandry cases, and 240 Agriculture cases under the HADP, reflecting a comprehensive approach to agricultural development.
