The vibrant two-day long Veshow Literary Festival 2024 concluded today with great fanfare in Kulgam, leaving an indelible mark as a significant celebration of literature, art, and the region's cultural heritage.

The festival drew literary luminaries, artists, and cultural enthusiasts promoting literature, art, and cultural heritage. Renowned literary figures, including Rukhsana Jabeen, Satish Vimal, Shad Ramzan, and several other notable personalities, graced the event.

A key highlight of the festival was a thought-provoking skit performed by artists focusing on the pressing issue of drug abuse. Through compelling storytelling and powerful performances, the skit vividly depicted the devastating impact of substance abuse, leaving a lasting impression on the audience and underscoring the urgency of protecting the youth from this menace.

The festival offered a diverse range of activities, including Mushairas, musical performances, and interactive sessions, fostering creativity and celebrating the artistic spirit of the region. As a gesture of appreciation, certificates and mementos were distributed to the participants by the District Administration.

On the successful conclusion of the programme, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan expressed gratitude to literary figures, students, art enthusiasts and others who played a role in making the festival a resounding success, emphasizing the importance of such platforms in nurturing talent and preserving cultural heritage.
