A five-day exhibition of various village industry products like clay artifacts, pottery and Khadi products was inaugurated by Sh. Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India at Draupadi Koop in the Brahma Sarovar complex, Kurukshetra today.

Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the exhibition aims to provide a marketing platform to institutions, artisans and beneficiaries associated with 'Kumhar Empowerment', Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana to empower them economically.

KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar said the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is doing commendable work under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to preserve the legacy of Khadi and cottage industries. Through the exhibition, the KVIC is providing a platform to those artisans and beneficiaries from all over the country.

He said a total of 21 stalls have been set up in the exhibition, out of which 15 belong to those potters to whom KVIC has provided electric wheels through Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana. Along with this, there are 6 stalls of beneficiaries of PMEGP/Khadi institutions in which products of village industry have been displayed. Live demos have also been organized to explain the process of making Khadi and pottery products to the visitors.
