A Love Story 15 Years in the Making

Antony Thattil and Keerthy Suresh began their friendship in school, and over time, it blossomed into love. Before Keerthy's film career began, Kochi businessman Antony, who now lives in Dubai, lived with Keerthy as a good friend and lover

The couple maintained their close friendship and strong bond despite the hardships of public life. The wedding took place on December 12, 2024, at the luxurious St. Regis resort in Goa. Actor Thalapathy Vijay was among the industry leaders as well as close friends and family members who attended the private ceremony.

Keerthy’s Traditional Tamil Look

Keerthy proudly showed her cultural roots by wearing the famous nine-yard Madisar sari tied in the traditional Iyengar Kattu style. Bright colors of red with silver embroidery and canary yellow with gold and green were among the sari choices. In keeping with her Tamil Brahmin heritage, she completed her appearance with a traditional side bun as an Aandal Kondai.

Keerthi's bridal jewelry was also eye-catching, showcasing intricate designs inspired by Bharatanatyam:

   - Armlet (Vangi): Adding a regal touch to her attire.

   - Attikai and Haaram: Complementary short and long necklaces.

   - Maanga Tikka: Forehead adornments framing her radiant face.

   - Odiyaanam (belt): A grand accessory that enhances the sari’s elegance.

   - Rakkodi, Surya, and Chandra Pirai: Symbolic hairpieces for auspiciousness.

   - This traditional ensemble paid homage to Tamil culture, inspiring many brides-to-be to explore heritage attire for their weddings.

Fashion Trends: The Juliette Sleeve Revival

The focus was on Keerthy's shirt with Juliette sleeves. These sleeves, which combine modern appeal with vintage nostalgia, are becoming more and more popular in bridal designs. They are characterized by their puffed shoulders.

The trend is becoming popular, as can be seen in recent looks of other celebrities:

   - Khushi Kapoor: Wore a Tarun Tahiliani saree with Juliette sleeves at Aaliyah Kashyap’s mehndi.

   - Rashmika Mandanna: Featured puff sleeves in her iconic looks for Pushpa.

   - Alia Bhatt: Flaunted a Bengali-inspired ensemble with Juliette sleeves in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Keerthy’s choice has undoubtedly cemented this style as a bridal favorite for 2024.
