In a historic and inspiring meeting, the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, along with the First Lady, Mrs. Eloise Harris, welcomed a delegation from Desh Bhagat University (DBU), led by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur. This significant interaction further strengthened the bonds between Desh Bhagat University and the host nation, where DBU Americas School of Medicine is pioneering world-class medical education.

During the meeting, Dr. Gonsalves praised the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, for his impactful leadership during his recent visit to Guyana. Dr. Gonsalves expressed his admiration for PM Modi’s visionary initiatives and efforts to build strong international relations, which resonate globally with other leaders.

Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, had the honor of interacting with Dr. Gonsalves and the First Lady, Mrs. Eloise Harris. Known for her passion, intellect, and visionary approach, Dr. Kaur outlined her commitment to advancing education and healthcare through innovative programs like the DBU Americas MD Program. She also shared plans to expand into Nursing, Ayurveda, and Yoga programs, emphasizing the importance of holistic education and healthcare for the future.

The First Lady of St. Vincent, Mrs. Eloise Harris, expressed her appreciation for the efforts of Desh Bhagat University in bringing global education to St. Vincent. She praised Dr. Tajinder Kaur’s leadership and commitment to transforming healthcare and education on a global scale. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, a stalwart in education and innovation, thanked the Prime Minister and First Lady for their support and encouragement. 

He shared the university’s vision for fostering global collaboration and empowering students to succeed in their medical and healthcare careers. Dr. Singh also highlighted the role of DBU Americas School of Medicine as a hub for transformative learning in the Caribbean.
