Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital, part of Desh Bhagat University, recently celebrated the 9th Ayurveda Day with the theme “Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health.” The event highlighted the essential role of Ayurveda in promoting holistic health and preventive care.

Esteemed guests included Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit H. Joshi, Advisor to the Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh, Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Director of Ayurveda Dr. Kulbhushan, Principal Dr. Smita Johar, Vice Principal Dr. Amandeep Sharma, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Jyoti Dhami.

During the event, Dr. Zora Singh encouraged students to embrace Ayurvedic principles in their studies and future practices, emphasizing Ayurveda’s enduring significance for modern wellness. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit H. Joshi also highlighted Ayurveda’s role in preventive healthcare, a growing field worldwide.

The celebration featured a Lord Dhanwantari Pooja, a Havan ceremony, and a community lunch, attended by teaching and non-teaching staff, hospital staff, and Ayurveda students. The program underscored Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital’s commitment to advancing Ayurvedic science and holistic well-being on a global scale.
