A two-days photo exhibition organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India concluded at Mata Sundri University Girls College on Friday. SP Headquarter Jaskirat Singh Ahir graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest SP Headquarter Jaskirat Singh Ahir said that with the implementation of new criminal laws, victims can lodge FIR at any police station, which is called Zero FIR. He said, "the new laws will bring transparency in police investigation." SP Headquarter not only informed about the new provisions of these laws but also highlighted the impact of them on system and the common people.
While addressing from the podium, he also elaborated about the E-Sakshya App. Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh, Editor, DD News and HOO, Central Bureau of Communication, Amritsar said, "three new criminal laws have come into force in the country from July 1, which have replaced IPC 1860, CRPC 1973 and Indian Evidence Act 1872.
The extensive use of modern technology and making electronic evidence part of the law in these laws have paved the way for early disposal of cases." In addition to this, Dr. Rupinder Pal Kaur addressed on the topic of Save Girl Child, Manreet Sidhu on Water Protection, Professor Harjeet Singh on Clean India, Amandeep Kaur on Fit India, while the programme was moderated by Dr. Balam. Besides this, all the dignitaries were honoured during the program.
Meanwhile, the two days exhibition of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting showcased all the welfarist schemes of the Government of India and also made people aware about the cyber frauds.
