Recently, the famous Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has demanded a unique change in the caste system. A video of this speech has gone viral and is being widely discussed across India.

He suggested reducing the number of caste classifications to two: rich and poor. After his silent vow, he issued this declaration, intending to strengthen the country and promote unity through a more egalitarian approach.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri's Philosophy of Two Castes

Dhirendra Shastri, while addressing the people, highlighted that these two basic divisions should be the center of India's destiny. He said, "There will be only two castes in India: the rich and the poor."

This view is in line with his vision of a Hindu country in which caste distinctions are beyond socio-economic status. He believes that simplifying caste distinctions can reduce social divisions and increase national unity.

Bajrang Bali's Influence

Dhirendra Shastri adds a spiritual factor to his statement by mentioning the Hindu god Bajrang Bali, stating that "Bajrang Bali's name is on every street." According to him, a common spiritual identity can help bridge caste divisions and foster a sense of belonging across many communities. This is in line with his broader goal of advancing Hindu principles and promoting a strong sense of national identity.

Cultural and Spiritual Connectivity

Dhirendra Shastri's reform demands are also inspired by cultural customs. His recent participation in Kanya Pujan was one such occasion, where he conducted traditional ceremonies in honor of young women.

He is making many efforts to preserve cultural traditions. These customs support his call for integration into society by highlighting the importance of women in society and promoting inter-caste relations.

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri Addressing Social Issues

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri has raised issues on several social concerns, such as poverty and education, as well as promoting a more efficient caste structure. He highlights that society can strive to eradicate the underlying causes of inequality by focusing on economic differences rather than caste identity.

To empower the poor, Shastri urges both the government and the public to invest in education and skills development for all.

He envisions a world in which cooperation transcends economic boundaries and ultimately builds a stronger, more united nation by supporting programs that improve the lives of the underprivileged. His plea for a concerted effort to transform India’s socio-economic landscape where the focus is on shared progress rather than division resonates deeply.
