Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an unprecedented scheme by the government of India. Through this scheme, small and marginal farmers are given Rs 6,000 every year. This financial assistance from the government is given to Indian small farmers in three equal installments in a year; that is, Rs 2000 is provided every four months of the year. According to pmkishan.gov.in, the 18th installment will be provided on October 5, 2024.

The 18th installment of PM Kisan

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a financial assistance scheme of the Central Government or Government of India for small farmers. In this scheme, the Central Government contributes its 100% share. Through this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is provided to small and marginal farmers every year. This amount is deposited directly into the bank accounts of these farmers through three equal installments.

This time for the 18th installment of PM Kisan by the Central Government, the government is going to spend Rs 20 thousand crore to provide financial amount of Rs 2000 in the bank accounts of about 9.5 crore landholder farmers of all parts.

The 17th installment of PM Kisan was provided on 18 June 2024 and this installment was provided to the bank accounts of about 9.26 crore farmers with an amount of Rs 2000. If we talk about the 18th installment this time, then more than 24 lakh farmers have joined the list of farmers getting the benefit of the 18th installment.

To take advantage of this scheme, it is very important for farmers to get E-KYC done on the official website of PM Kisan. To get KYC done, farmers can get it done on their official website and can also get it done through biometrics by going to the Common Service Center.
