Telangana activist and BRS leader Jitta Balakrishna Reddy passed away today 6 September 2024. He was suffering from brain infection for some time. This morning on 6 September 2024, Balakrishna Reddy breathed his last in the hospital while undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad. He was only 52 years old. He was fighting for his life with brain infection for the last 2 months. Meanwhile, his condition became more serious and he died this morning.

The confirmed news of Jitta Balakrishna Reddy's death has been given by his family members. Balakrishna Reddy's body is being taken to his native village Bhuvangiri. His last rites will be performed either this evening or tomorrow. There is a lot of grief over his death.

He completed his high school in 1987, secondary school from BB Nagar, intermediate from Bhuvangiri in 1989, a DVM degree from LB Nagar in 1993, and a B.Com. degree from PG College in 1993.

Jitta Balakrishna Reddy played an important role in the Telangana movement. In 2009, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy joined the Congress in the situation of former Telangana Chief Minister Rajashekhar Reddy. After the death of YS, Reddy said goodbye to the Congress and joined YCP. After this, in 2009, Balakrishna Reddy contested the election from the Bhuvangiri assembly constituency as an independent candidate. Along with this, later he founded the 'Yuva Telangana Party'. After this, this party merged with the BJP.

Jitta Balakrishna is known as a Telangana activist. Balakrishna joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti after the formation of Telangana. After this, he joined the Congress after not getting a ticket in BRS, and after the death of YS, he joined YCP. After this, he joined Congress again after founding the Telangana Youth Party, and after leaving Congress again, he became the lead.
