A tree plantation drive was organized at Sant Ishwar Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School Udhampur, Nainsu. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, who served as the chief guest and planted saplings within the school premises.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the head of the school. Students, along with members of the management committee, school teachers, and the chief guest, actively participated in planting trees. The students pledged to safeguard the environment and ensure its protection.
While addressing the students, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of planting trees and maintaining a clean environment. She highlighted the need to preserve this invaluable heritage for future generations to ensure they can also lead happy and healthy lives.
The DC also led a Swachhta pledge and initiated a plantation drive under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” campaign, within the school premises, urging the public to plant more plants and to support the district administration cleanliness initiatives, particularly under the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada campaign.
The event concluded with the Principal, Renu Sharma expressing gratitude to the guests on behalf of the school's management committee.
