The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt today chaired a meeting of the District Skill Committee to review and discuss the District Skill Plan.

The meeting discussed various measures to enhance skill development in the district, and focused on reviewing existing skill development initiatives, addressing challenges and formulating strategies to improve the employability of local youth. The meeting underscored the urgency of finalizing the plan to meet local employment needs.

During the meeting, ADDC directed the Member Secretary of the District Skill Committee to finalize the District Skill Plan within the next two days and ensure its prompt upload on the designated portal.He emphasized the importance of adhering to the timeline and highlighted the necessity of equipping individuals with skills that are directly applicable to local job markets.

The ADDC emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in various sectors. Among others, the meeting was attended by GM DIC Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, District Information Officer Aadil Manzoor Wani, Superintendent ITI who is member secretary District Skill Committee, and representatives from various concerned Departments.
