District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Rajouri today approved 81 new cases under Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Schemes of Government’s flagship program Mission Youth. The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat.
Mumkin scheme is an initiative of Mission Youth for providing sustainable livelihood to unemployed youth in the transport sector, the beneficiaries are provided commercial vehicles on subsidised rates. The Tejaswini Scheme envisages financial support to the women in the 18 to 35 year age group to enable them to set up a self-employment unit.
Spurring entrepreneurship aims to provide financial assistance to youth of J&K UT for establishing their business units. It has the stated objective of encouraging innovation and job creation through creation of new businesses and expansion of existing businesses.
The DLIC approved 61 fresh cases under the Mumkin, 14 cases under Tejaswini and 06 cases under Spurring entrepreneurship schemes in presence of the applicants. The DDC also interacted with the beneficiaries and encouraged them to take proper benefit of the support being provided to them for enhancing their livelihood.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to organise awareness camps to encourage the maximum number of educated and unemployed youth of the district to take advantage of the twin schemes. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Employment, Mohd Rafiq; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; DPO, Mohammad Nawaz Choudhary; Nodal Officer JKEDI, Arshad Malik and other concerned officers.
