The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman on Monday convened a meeting to address various revenue related matters, including the ongoing digitization of land records, freezing of Jamabandies, Issuance of Fards and other revenue services in the district.

The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the progress of digitization of land records, particularly freezing of  Jamabandies, Issuance of Fards, etc, and addressing the critical gap issues and bottlenecks.The DC emphasised the need for swift resolution of pending issues related to digitization and land acquisition issues.

Furthermore, the DC urged Tehsildars to expedite the digitisation of land records, a critical step in modernizing and streamlining land-related processes.Additionally, he urged the Assistant Commissioner Revenue to identify and report any potential bottlenecks that may be impeding the progress of the updation of land records.

This meeting underscored the commitment of the local administration to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the modernization of land records and providing all revenue related services within PSGA timelines.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Umar Shafi Pandith; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shabir Ahmed Wani; Tehsildars of Bandipora, Sumbal, Hajin whileas Sub Divisional Magistrates of Sumbal and Gurez joined through virtual mode.
