Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while addressing a public meeting at Pekhubela in Una after inaugurating 32 MW Solar Power project today, said that Una district is treading towards becoming a hub for power generation, with plans to harness more 150 MW through solar energy in the near future. In order to fulfill the power requirement of the Bulk Drug Park at Haroli, the Chief Minister directed the Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation to harness 500 MW of additional solar energy and directed the officials to take necessary steps to achieve this goal. The Bulk Drug Park alone would require 150 MW of power.
He congratulated the residents of district Una on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the officers and the officials for completing it well in record time. Sh. Sukhu stated that by 2027 the Government aims to make Himachal Pradesh a self-reliant State and was committed to the economic prosperity and promoting pollution-free power generation and this project was a milestone in this direction.
Apart from generation of hydropower, the focus was now to generate the green hydrogen production and solar power, he stated. Investments were being also made in the tourism sector to make Himachal a Tourism Hub and several schemes will also be launched in this direction.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, MLA Sudarshan Babloo and Vivek Sharma (Vicku), Managing Director HPSEBL Harikesh Meena, Director Personnel and Finance Shivam Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jatin lal were also present on the occasion amongst others.

मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने आज जिला ऊना के पेखूबेला में 32 मेगावाट क्षमता की सौर विद्युत परियोजना के उद्घाटन अवसर पर जनसभा को सम्बोेधित करते हुए कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने हिमाचल प्रदेश पावर कॉर्पोरेशन को 500 मेगावाट सोलर ऊर्जा के दोहन का लक्ष्य दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए अधिकारियों को उचित कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हरोली विधानसभा क्षेत्र में स्थापित किए जा रहे बल्क ड्रग पार्क में ही 150 मेगावाट बिजली की जरूरत होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि ऊना अब बिजली उत्पादन करने वाला जिला बन गया है और आने वाले समय में सौर ऊर्जा के माध्यम से यहां पर 150 मेगावाट ऊर्जा का दोहन किया जाएगा।
उन्होंने पेखूबेला सौर परियोजना के शुभांरभ पर ऊना जिले के निवासियों और परियोजना को रिकॉर्ड समय में पूरा करने के लिए अधिकारियों को भी बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने प्रदेश को वर्ष 2027 तक आत्मनिर्भर बनाने का लक्ष्य रखा है और यह कदम इस दिशा में मील का पत्थर साबित होगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रदेश को आर्थिक रूप से सम्पन्न बनाने के लिए दृढ़ संकल्पित है। राज्य सरकार प्रदूषण मुक्त विद्युत उत्पादन को बढ़ावा दे रही है। प्रदेश में जल विद्युत ऊर्जा के दोहन के साथ-साथ सौर ऊर्जा और ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन के उत्पादन को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार पर्यटन क्षेत्र में निवेश को बढ़ावा दे रही है ताकि आने वाले समय में प्रदेश पर्यटक हब बनकर उभरे। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आने वाले समय में प्रदेश को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की दिशा में अनेक विकासात्मक योजनाएं शुरू की जाएंगी।
इस अवसर पर उप-मुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री, विधायक सुदर्शन बबलू, विवेक शर्मा (विक्कू), प्रबंध निदेशक हिमाचल प्रदेश विद्युत बोर्ड हरिकेश मीणा, निदेशक कार्मिक और वित्त शिवम प्रताप सिंह, उपायुक्त ऊना जतिन लाल सहित अन्य गणमान्य उपस्थित रहे।
