I&PR department bids farewell to Information Officer Geeta Thakur

Geeta Thakur, Information Officer posted at Directorate of Information and Public Relations retired today from Government service. A function was organised at the Directorate to bid farewell to her which was presided over by Director, Information and Public Relations, Rajiv Kumar. 

He honoured Geeta Thakur for working with utmost dedication and devotion during her long service period spanning more than 39 years. He wished her good health and joyful retired life ahead, Joint Director Mahesh Pathania also praised Geeta Thakur's significant contributions to the department.

Geeta Thakur began her career as a Clerk in 1984 and rose through the ranks to become an Information Officer. She served as an Assistant Public Relations Officer (APRO) in the District Public Relations Office, Shimla besides working in the Office of Giriraj Weekly and Directorate of I&PR.

All the officers and employees of the department also congratulated her on superannuation and extended their good wishes.
