In 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party misled the people of the country and formed the government by making false promises like 'Acche Din Aane Wale Hain' and many other tactics.
Since then, neither the black money has come back nor the good days of the people, now people are saying that the old days were good, they should be returned and Congress will bring back these days. These views were expressed by Congress candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency Mr. Gurjeet Singh Aujla during door-to-door campaigning in Chawinda Devi market today.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has forced the farmers to struggle and has also disappointed the army with schemes like Agniveer. Along with this, the growing politics of hatred in the country, the law-and-order situation and increasing drug addiction are taking the lives of youth, farmers and soldiers.
Farmers kept fighting for their rights on the borders of Delhi to get the black law repealed, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not consider it necessary to know about their condition even once. He said that the government has also failed in its promise of doubling the income of farmers by 2024.
Amidst the struggle being carried out by the farmers, BJP called the farmers terrorists and cowards. He said that after June 4, when the Congress government comes, the minimum support price of each crop will be given as per the recommendations of Swaminathan Commission and the crops of the farmers will be insured, the compensation of which will be given to the farmer within 30 days.
Agniveer Yojana will be stopped and regular recruitment will be done in the army.
A poor woman of the family will be given one lakh rupees annually i.e. 8500 per month. 50% of the jobs will be reserved for women. There will be an insurance of Rs 25 lakh for treatment in the hospital. The daily wage of NREGA will be increased to Rs 400.
The Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi talks about giving employment to two crore people, whereas 30 lakh jobs are lying vacant, which will be filled on priority basis when the government comes. Old pension has been restored in Congress-ruled states, old pension will also be restored in Punjab when the government comes.
Trade will be opened from Wagah border. He said that BJP is against the thinking of Dr. Ambedkar and wants to change the constitution made by him, whereas Congress party protects the constitution. It is very important to make Congress win to save the constitution.
