Raja Warring, the Congress candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, was met with overwhelming support during his roadshow in Jawahar Nagar. The event drew a large, enthusiastic crowd, underscoring the growing momentum behind his campaign. Warring also campaigned across various locations in the Gill constituency, Ludhiana East, Ludhiana West, and Ludhiana South.

Addressing the gatherings, Warring emphasized Congress’s commitment to delivering on promises. He stated, “In a political landscape filled with promises, Congress stands out with its proven track record of fulfilling commitments. From farmer loan waivers totalling Rs 72,000 crore, including Rs 4,500 crore specifically for Punjabi farmers, to MSP initiatives, our actions speak for themselves.

If given the mandate, we pledge to usher in a new era of justice: universal healthcare, dignity of labour, urban employment guarantees, social security, fair recruitment practices, and youth empowerment. Our promises, backed by solid figures, are not just words; they are a roadmap to transform lives and build a better future.”

Warring also highlighted the struggles of vendors at the Ludhiana Vegetable Market. He criticized the current system, where the market’s contract is awarded to private contractors at exorbitant rates, resulting in high parking fees for street vendors, cart owners, and others who depend on the market for their livelihood.

"This exploitative practice is completely unacceptable," Warring asserted. "The management of the Ludhiana Vegetable Market should be transferred to the Punjab Mandi Board to ensure fair treatment and reasonable costs for our vendors. Our vendors deserve a fair chance to earn their livelihood without being burdened by excessive fees. We are committed to fighting for their rights and ensuring that the market operates in a way that benefits the local community."

The roadshow and campaign stops reflect Raja Warring’s and the Congress party’s commitment to engaging with voters and addressing critical local issues. With strong community support and a clear agenda for reform, Warring’s campaign is gaining significant momentum as election day approaches.
