Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Singh Chahal, and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi on Friday felicitated 10 topper students of the 10th class including Punjab's first and second rank holders. Eight of these students, Aditi, Alisha Sharma (both are Punjab's first and second rank holders) Simran Tiwari, Sadhna Rani Gupta, Gursimran, Mohammad Ahmad Raza, Zahid Ali and Aditi, belong to Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Shimlapuri and two students, Simranpreet Kaur and Mehakpreet Kaur, are from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Samrala were given appreciation certificates.
After the felicitation ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with them and lauded their achievement. She also praised their teachers and parents for their support. The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the students to dream high, work hard, and remain focused on their goals. She advised them not to get discouraged by failures as they are the pillars of success.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the students to take inspiration from freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives while serving the country. She expressed hope that these students would inspire others and serve society. She also assured them of her full support in their future endeavours.
During the interaction, the students shared their areas of interest, strengths, and difficulties. They also discussed their approach to cracking academic and competitive examinations.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ 10ਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੇ 10 ਚੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਜ਼ਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ 'ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅੱਠ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ, ਅਦਿਤੀ, ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ (ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਰੈਂਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ) ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤਿਵਾੜੀ, ਸਾਧਨਾ ਰਾਣੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ, ਗੁਰਸਿਮਰਨ, ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਰਜ਼ਾ, ਜ਼ਾਹਿਦ ਅਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਿਤੀ, ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਮੈਮੋਰੀਅਲ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ, ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾਪੁਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਮਰਾਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਸਿਮਰਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਕਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਲੈਣ, ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਟੀਚਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਸਫਲਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਹਨ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਵਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਘੁਲਾਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ, ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
