Taking a big leap towards ensuring optimum utilisation of the inaugural ceremony of Maharaja Yadwindra Singh Stadium, Mullanpur (New Chandigarh) as a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), the District Administration, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar has planned several activities in and around the stadium, tomorrow.
Divulging details, the Deputy Commissioner-cum- District Electoral Officer Mrs Aashika Jain said that in the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the district administration has proposed a gala event to catch the young voters by sensitising them of the largest festival of democracy. Revealing the details after conducting a detailed review meeting, she said that We have adorned the road leading to the stadium with a plethora of visual effects, utilizing hoardings, flags, and mascots.
Similarly, Multiple selfie points and canopies will be set up outside the stadium. Special emphasis has been placed on featuring the mascot Shera 2.0 released by the CEO, Punjab. Apart from that First-time voters have been encouraged to bring their Voter ID cards for a chance to win exciting prizes. “500 college students, attired in the branded attire of "I Vote For Sure," including T-shirts, caps, and masks”, would attend IPL, said the deputy commissioner by adding that Visual messages will be displayed on the screen before the match, followed by a stage performance featuring a folk song "Mai Bharat Hu" by folk orchestra team from Punjabi University Patiala.
Even, election awareness jingles will be played one hour before and after the match on Red FM. Recorded outreach messages for SVEEP activities will be delivered by players (Shikhar Dhawan) and Preeti Zinta on this occasion, she further added. Several Volunteers are deployed to oversee activities and disseminate information about SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) to the general public to benefit from this event.
Though the ECI has set a benchmark of "Iss Vaar 70 Par" our goal is to achieve an 80 per cent voter participation rate in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District. She discussed the various issues regarding the smooth entry of the students and stage performers with the SSP Dr Sandeep Garg.
She also passed on important instructions to the ADCs Viraj S Tidke and Damanjit Singh Mann besides SDM Kharar Gurmandar Singh for the smooth run of the SVEEP activity in the presence of a huge audience and spectators. District SVEEP Nodal Officer Prof Gurbakshish Singh Antal and Good Governance Fellow Vijay Luxmi were entrusted with the task of smooth conduct of the activities.

ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਯਾਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ, ਮੁੱਲਾਂਪੁਰ (ਨਿਊ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ) ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਲਾਹਾ ਸਿਸਟਮੈਟਿਕ ਵੋਟਰਜ਼ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਐਂਡ ਇਲੈਕਟੋਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀਸੀਪੇਸ਼ਨ (ਸਵੀਪ) ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਪੁਲਾਂਘ ਪੁੱਟਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਨੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਮੈਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਅਤੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਈ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ-ਕਮ-ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਗਾਮੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ-2024 ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵੋਟਰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਤਜਵੀਜ਼ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੰਤਵ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵਗਾ। ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੇਰਵਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੜਕ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਡਿੰਗ, ਝੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਮਾਸਕੌਟਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਜ਼ੂਅਲ ਇਫੈਕਟਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਜਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਮਲਟੀਪਲ ਸੈਲਫੀ ਪੁਆਇੰਟ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਨੋਪੀਜ਼ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਸੀ.ਈ.ਓ., ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਮਾਸਕੌਟ ਸ਼ੇਰਾ 2.0 ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਬਣੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਇਨਾਮ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੋਟਰ ਆਈਡੀ ਕਾਰਡ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਕੱਲ੍ਹ 500 ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਈ ਪੀ ਐਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ "ਆਈ ਵੋਟ ਫਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਓਰ" ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਂਡ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਹਿਰਾਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀ-ਸ਼ਰਟਾਂ, ਕੈਪਸ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸਕ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿਜ਼ੂਅਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੋਕ ਆਰਕੈਸਟਰਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ "ਮੈਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਹੂ" ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਰੈੱਡ ਐਫਐਮ 'ਤੇ ਮੈਚ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਘੰਟਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਜਿੰਗਲ ਵਜਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਸਵੀਪ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤੇ ਆਊਟਰੀਚ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ (ਸ਼ਿਖਰ ਧਵਨ) ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਟਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਟੀਵੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੀਪ (ਸਿਸਟੇਮੈਟਿਕ ਵੋਟਰਜ਼ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਐਂਡ ਇਲੈਕਟੋਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀਸੀਪੇਸ਼ਨ) ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ 70 ਪਾਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਟੀਚਾ, ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ-2024 ਵਿੱਚ 80 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਵੋਟਰ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਗਰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਏ.ਡੀ.ਸੀਜ਼ ਵਿਰਾਜ ਐਸ ਤਿੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ ਖਰੜ ਗੁਰਮੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵੀਪ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਵੀਪ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਅੰਟਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਡ ਗਵਰਨੈਂਸ ਫੈਲੋ ਵਿਜੇ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ।
