Rayat Bahra University on Thursday organized a seminar on `Inspire Inclusion’ to mark International Women’s Day. Prof Pam Rajput, Professor Emeritus, Department cum Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Panjab University, in her keynote address said this year's campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality.
It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. She said `Inspire Inclusion’ encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including those from marginalized communities.
“When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Collectively, let's forge a more inclusive world for women,” she added.
Prof Manjit Kaur Brar, Retired Principal, Mission Coordinator, Department of Education, Chandigarh Administration, who was the expert speaker, said education and awareness play vital roles in fostering inclusion and empowering women. Through initiatives such as mentorship programs, educational workshops, and advocacy campaigns, individuals and organizations can create opportunities for women to thrive.
By providing support and resources, women can be empowered to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential, she added.Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, said as we celebrate International Women's Day 2024 and reflect on the theme of Inspire Inclusion, let us reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where all women are empowered, valued, and included.
By working together to break down barriers and foster diversity, we can build a more equitable and inclusive society for generations to come.Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of RBU, said to truly include women means to openly embrace their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image, and how they identify.
Worldwide, women must be included in all fields of endeavour. Dr.S K Bansal dean academic and other dean and staff members were also present on this occasion.Dr Dinesh Sharma, Registrar of RBU, proposed a vote of thanks.

ਰਿਆਤ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਇਨਸਪਾਇਰ ਇਨਕਲੂਜ਼ਨ ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ’ਤੇ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ।ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਪੰਮ ਰਾਜਪੂਤ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਐਮਰੀਟਸ, ਵਿਭਾਗ ਕਮ ਸੈਂਟਰ ਫਾਰ ਵਿਮੈਨ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਐਂਡ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਲਿੰਗ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ, ਰੂੜ੍ਹੀਵਾਦੀ ਧਾਰਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ‘ਇੰਸਪਾਇਰ ਇਨਕਲੂਜ਼ਨ’ ਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸ਼ੀਏ ’ਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਦਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ, ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।ਆਓ, ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਵੇਸ਼ੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਬਰਾੜ, ਰਿਟਾਇਰਡ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਸਨ, ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ, ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਤ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਿਆਤ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਵਸ 2024 ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਸਪਾਇਰ ਇਨਕਲੂਜ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਥੀਮ ’ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਬਿੰਬਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਈਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ, ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਵੇਸ਼ੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਵੀ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।ਆਰਬੀਯੂ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ-ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਡਾ: ਪਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ, ਯੋਗਤਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਦੀ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਗਲੇ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ।
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਬੀਯੂ ਦੇ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਡਾ: ਦਿਨੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਵਸ ’ਤੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
