Amid inauguration of 13 Schools of Eminence by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal across Punjab from Ludhiana, MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh dedicated second School of Eminence in the district in Phase-11, today. He said that about Rs 11.50 crore has been spent on its construction, students from 6th to 12th class will study here and fresh admissions from 9th to 10th class will be based on entrance exam.
He remembered the contribution of late Amrik Singh Tehsildar, former councilor, who had helped a lot for making this dream come true. He said, he and his family members worked wholeheartedly towards completing this school. MLA Kulwant Singh said that emergence of 'Schools of Eminence' across Punjab, under the visionary leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is a step towards the education revolution of Punjab, which will lead to a big revolution in the education and Students will be able to achieve their goals that were earlier not possible due to elite standards of private schools.
He said that the earlier governments never felt the need for necessary reforms in the education and health systems, but as soon as the Aam Aadmi Party government came into existence, the first major reforms were made to boost health and education infrastructure. Aam Aadmi Clinics were opened for providing free medicines and lab tests across the Punjab, where thousands of patients are getting their free check ups daily as well as bringing revolutionary changes in the education field by introducing Schools of Eminence.
