The Railway Department on Monday organized a significant event under the Amrit Bharat Railway Station scheme, unveiling plans for the extensive upgrading of 554 railway stations and the development of 1500 new railway crossings.

The ceremony marked a historic moment as the foundation stone for the Gura More Railway Over Bridge was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually, while Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, DDC Chairman Samba Keshav Dutt Sharma, DC Samba Abhishek Sharma, SSP Samba and other concerned officers besides a large number of locals were present at the site.

The Amrit Bharat Railway Station scheme underscores the commitment of the Railway Department to modernize and enhance railway infrastructure across the country. The ambitious initiative aims to improve connectivity, safety, and efficiency, benefiting both passengers and freight transportation.

Among the key highlights of this initiative is the development of 554 railway stations, strategically selected to undergo significant upgrades. Additionally, the plan includes the establishment of 1500 new railway crossings, addressing the growing demands of a rapidly evolving transportation landscape.

The Gura More Railway Over Bridge, whose foundation stone was laid today, symbolizes a crucial step towards safer and more efficient rail travel. This project reflects the government's dedication to enhancing infrastructure and ensuring the well-being of the citizens.

In his address, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma expressed his optimism about the transformative impact of these initiatives on the nation's railway network.Expressing optimism, the MP hoped for timeline completion of Gura More Railway Over Bridge

He emphasized the importance of the project as this over brige will facilitate easy access to the commuters of peripheral areas who otherwise have to wait for crossing besides fostering economic development and providing a seamless transportation network.

As the Railway Department embarks on this comprehensive journey, it envisions a future where railway travel is not only efficient but also a catalyst for progress. The Amrit Bharat Railway Station scheme stands as a testament to the government's commitment to building a robust and modernized railway infrastructure for the citizens of India.
