In a significant community outreach, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Shopian, presided over a well-attended Block Diwas event in Gagran, Shopian. This initiative, part of a broader government public outreach program, aimed to address public grievances and evaluate ongoing development projects within the district.

The event saw active participation from local residents, who took the opportunity to present their concerns and suggestions directly to Dr. Lone. The dialogue covered a range of issues, from infrastructure needs like drainage and by-lane construction to the installation of solar lights and the development of local irrigation channels and segregation sheds.

Highlighting the significance of the Block Diwas, Dr. Lone emphasized its role in fostering direct communication between the administration and the community, thereby facilitating more effective and inclusive development. He reassured the attendees that their feedback on governmental schemes and their direct impact on community welfare were of paramount importance.

Responding to the concerns raised, Dr. Lone committed to addressing them with the relevant authorities promptly, reinforcing his dedication to the district's rapid development and prosperity. He expressed hope that Shopian would continue to progress and stand out as a leading district in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.

The Block Diwas was not only an exercise in democratic engagement but also a testament to the district's commitment to transparency and development. Officials from the Rural Development Department and other line departments, along with a significant number of local citizens, contributed to the event's success, ensuring a wide array of voices were heard and considered in the district's development agenda.
