Rayat Bahra University's Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology, under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chancellor S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness camp  at Government Primary School, Bhago Majra, Kharar.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bansal, Principal Dr. Akshay Sharma, Prof. (Dr.) Neena Mehta. Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kaul, along with other Deans and HODs from different departments of RBU were also present on the occasion.

Organizing Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Gupta, along with Organizing Secretary Ms. Mamta Panda & Ms. Varshdeep Kour, spearheaded the initiative, bringing together faculty and students of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (MRIT), USAHS. The program aimed to educate and empower the community about breast cancer, emphasizing early detection and the importance of regular screenings.

The initiative aimed to educate and empower the community, stressing the significance of early detection and regular screenings in combating breast cancer. The comprehensive program included informative PowerPoint presentations, interactive workshops, and a compelling "Nukkad Natak" performed by MRIT students.

The program opened to all members of the Bhago Majra community free of cost, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from women of all ages. Early detection, a key factor in improving treatment outcomes, took center stage, aligning with the program's overarching goal of positively impacting the health and well-being of the community.

Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Gupta expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Harbant Kaur, Principal, and the teaching staff of Govt. Primary School, Bhago Majra, for their steadfast support in organizing this vital awareness program.
