In an unexpected move aimed at boosting the operational efficiency of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Commissioner Dr. Owais Ahmed conducted a surprise inspection of the central office's various wings and sections in Karan Nagar on Tuesday. 

The visit, focusing on monitoring staff attendance and directly engaging with the workforce, underscored the administration's commitment to nurturing a productive and responsive work environment.During his rounds, Commissioner Ahmed took a hands-on approach, personally addressing the concerns and grievances of the employees.

This direct interaction is part of a broader strategy to cultivate a supportive atmosphere that not only uplifts staff morale but also paves the way for enhanced service delivery within the corporation. Highlighting a forward-thinking approach to municipal governance, Dr. Ahmed instructed the Works Wing of the SMC to spearhead the transformation of all municipal offices into smart offices. This initiative is set to revolutionize the workplace by adopting a smart work culture that leverages modern technological practices to boost productivity.
