Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday solicited fulsome support and cooperation of people to strengthen arms of AAP for bringing agenda of welfare and development at national centre stage.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the credit of bringing common people at the centre stage of Indian polity goes to Arvind Kejriwal. He said that Arvind Kejriwal had brought paradigm shift in politics by introducing value based politics by rejecting the divisive politics. 

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that huge scores of people are witness to this historic occasion.The Chief Minister said that huge response of people in the rally reflects trust of people in pro-people and development oriented policies of state government. 

He said that contrary to trend of selling government properties to friends of government, the Punjab government has taken a historic decision to purchase a private plant. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the day is not far when state government will further purchase the remaining private power plants in state.

The Chief Minister said that those who are now on path of parivar bachao yatra had looted the state during their long tenure. He said that these people had mercilessly ruined the state due to which they were ousted from power. Bhagwant Singh Mann that people don’t trust even a single word of these leaders due to which they are envious of him.

The Chief Minister said that people of the state are supportive of the pro-people policies of the state government due to which multitude of people attend every function in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he is very lucky that people are with him because in a democracy people are the supreme. 

He said that opposition especially the Congress and Akalis have lost all the support of the people due to which they have been sent to oblivion.The Chief Minister reiterated that the traditional parties are envious of him because he hails from a common family and is working tirelessly to ensure welfare of people. 

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders had always believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. He said that these leaders have befooled the people for a long time but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.

The Chief Minister quipped that earlier the industries used to sign MoUs with families in power but ever since he has assumed charge of government the agreements are signed for people of state. He said that earlier the affluent families used to get benefit of these agreements but now Punjabis will be enjoy its fruits. 

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is because his government is working untiringly for well being of every strata of society. The Chief Minister said that state government is already making all out efforts to cherish the aspirations of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other great freedom fighters. 

He said that pro-people and development oriented policies of the state government are aimed at realising the dreams of these great national leaders. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that every effort will be further made to ensure that benefits of public welfare schemes are percolated to the people at grass root level.The Chief Minister said that the Union government is not able to digest all the pro-people decisions taken by the state government for the welfare of the common man. 

He said that funds for Aam Aadmi Clinics under the National Health Mission were stalled by the Union government adding that the funds for Rural Development Funds worth Rs 5500 crore have also been stopped by the centre government to disallow state for constructing roads in rural areas. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that if these funds are released that the state government can give impetus to the development of the state.

The Chief Minister exhorted the people to extend fulsome support and cooperation to the AAP in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. He said that it will help in effectively raising the issues of the people and the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the support of people is vital in making Punjab a front runner state in the country.

The Chief Minister bemoaned that the Haryana government is putting barbed wire to stop the farmers of the state. He said that this tendency of creating rift between Punjab and India must be avoided as it is not in the interest of country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the issues with farmers should be resolved through dialogue.

The Chief Minister said that it is imperative for ensuring food security in the country. He said that those putting barbed wires to stop the farmers from moving to Delhi must remember that country needs rice from Punjab only. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that farmers are the backbone of the country and step motherly treatment should not be meted out to them.

The Chief Minister said that the Union government has insulted the great martyrs including Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Udham Singh, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, Mai Bhago, Ghadri Baabe and others by rejecting the tableau of the state. 

He said that the union government has belittled their contribution and sacrifice of these heroes by not including their tableaus in the Republic Day parade. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this cannot be tolerated as it is the grave insult of these great patriots and national leaders adding that the state government has now duly showcased this immense contribution in tableaus across the state.

The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that for the first time in last 75 years a private power plant has been purchased by the state government. He said that this plant has been purchased at a cheap price by the state government. Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government has purchased this plant worth Rs 5500 crore at a meagre price of Rs 1100 crore.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that 90% household are already getting free power in state and with this plant now other sectors will also get subsidised power.  He said that the state government has started Ghar Ghar Muft Ration scheme on Saturday, which will be a stepping stone to eliminate Ration mafia in the country.Arvind Kejriwal reiterated that from last 75 years the ration through PDS never reached the beneficiaries.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that if 100 kg ration was sent only 15 kg reached to the people adding that unfortunately no one checked the pilferage of ration. Arvind Kejriwal said that the ration meant for common man was looted by the political parties and its leaders. He said that now the day is not far when people will get smooth and hassle free delivery of goods in the country.

The Delhi Chief Minister slammed the Union government for stalling Rs 8000 crore meant for various pro-people schemes in the state. He said that this is grace injustice with the state which cannot be tolerated. Arvind Kejriwal said that the Union government is afraid of spreading base of the AAP due to which it is stopping too low to stall its working.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the union government led by BJp is working overtime to defame the AAP because it is afraid of it. He said that the union government is using the central agencies to arm twist the opposition especially the AAP. Arvind Kejriwal said that but when the people are with the party and the blessings of God are there so they are not afraid.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that people should give befitting reply to such dubious people. He said that people should answer them that those who give free power to them are not thieves but the thieves are those Mahi loot the people by giving them expensive power. Arvind Kejriwal said that with the support of people the ultimate goal of progress of country will be achieved.
