Shark Tank India Season 3's presentation of creative business ideas has captivated viewers once again. Still, one particular pitch has stuck out: Jewel Box, a firm that creates lab-grown diamonds. The founders of Jewel Box, Nipun, and Vidita Kochar, aim to rethink luxury by emphasizing accessibility, ethics, and sustainability. 

Their lab-grown diamonds are created by scientific methods instead of being mined, yet they are similar to natural diamonds in appearance, chemistry, and physical characteristics.

Pitch and Updates: Jewelbox Business Deal For Sharks

The third episode of Shark Tank India, Jewel Box, aired on Netflix on February 7, 2024. The Sharks were all enthralled with the entrepreneurs' business and merchandise when they were shown it. They want 2% equity in return for Rs 1 Cr. The initial offer, which included Radhika and Aman, was Rs 1 Cr for 5% stock plus 2% royalty till Rs 1 Cr was recovered.

After Vineeta made an offer of Rs 1 Cr for 2.5% equity, Ritesh and Peyush joined her. To provide Rs 1 Cr, Aman and Radhika changed their offer and requested 2.25% equity. The founders invited every Shark to convene and presented a counteroffer of Rs 2 Cr for 5% equity, but Aman refused to accept 5% and demanded 6%.

Which Shark Grabbed This Deal?

Following that first pitch, the founders asked for INR 1 crore for 2% ownership at a 50 crore value. Thus, a Rs 2 Cr agreement for 6% equity was locked up with all 5 Sharks Vineeta, Ritesh, Peyush, Aman, and Radhika. During Jewel Box's business pitch, the owners gave each of the shark judges a piece of their jewelry. The mission of Jewel Box is to offer luxury goods made with lab-grown diamonds that are conscious.

About Lab-Grown Diamonds

Rather than developing naturally in the Earth's mantle, lab-grown diamonds, commonly referred to as synthetic or cultured diamonds, are produced in a laboratory environment using technological methods. 

In order to create diamonds with comparable physical and chemical properties, scientists mimic the environmental factors that lead to the formation of real diamonds. Though they look and feel almost exactly like mined diamonds, these diamonds are frequently seen as a more morally and environmentally responsible option than conventional diamonds.
