Speakers Association And Study Circle (SAASC), the official literary club of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh conducted VERVE, one of North India’s largest quizzing festival on 27th-28th January 2024.
The event saw participation from over 75 participants from esteemed institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar, NIT Kurukshetra, Ramjas College, IISER Mohali, etc. After three quizzes being conducted on both days and intense competition, winners of each quiz were crowned:
India Quiz (Novice) - Arin, Ppanchal, Mankunwar (PEC, ECE)
Sci-Biz-Tech (Novice) - Ishita, Ashmita (PEC, Electrical)
FCGAW Quiz (College) - Atharva, Swastik, Pratik (IISER Mohali)
Sports Quiz (College) - Ojas, Varun, Gautam (IIT Delhi)
MELA Quiz (Open) - Ojas, Varun, Gautam (IIT Delhi)
General Quiz (Open) - Ojas, Varun, Gautam (IIT Delhi)
The overall best contingent award was crowned to IIT Delhi for winning 3 quizzes!!
The event was successful & gave an enriching and amazing experience as many got to learn new trivia by the virtue of reputed QuizMasters Neil and Abhyuday from Delhi University.
