The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed the people and party workers of Goa on the second day of their three-day visit to the state. Addressing the public meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that today he got the opportunity to see the medical work done by the AAP MLA in Goa, which is amazing. Only the Aam Aadmi Party can do this.
Only the Aam Aadmi Party talks about hospitals, schools, electricity, water and basic infrastructure. The rest of the parties do politics of caste, religion and hatred. Arvind Kejriwal made government schools world class in Delhi. Mohalla clinics were set up at various places. Now we are building the world class government schools and mohalla clinics in Punjab also.
So far, about 700 Aam Aadmi clinics have been opened in Punjab. This number will increase to 800 on 26th January. So far 70 lakh people have got their free treatment done there. Apart from this, we are also appointing specialist doctors in government hospitals.
In Punjab, we have given government jobs to about 40,000 youth in 20 months. Electricity is now free in Punjab. 90% of the houses get zero electricity bills. Electricity is free in Delhi also.
Mann said that in Punjab we have reversed the popular trend of privatising the government institutes. On January 1, the Punjab government purchased a 540 MW private thermal power plant.
He said that other parties have stolen our 'guarantee' term. He quipped, "When alarm bells started ringing for BJP, Modi remembered Kejriwal's guarantee." He said that earlier BJP used to have a resolution letter and manifesto. Now they say Modi's guarantee.
Mann said that Arvind Kejriwal is the only one in the entire country who is not afraid of Narendra Modi. BJP is sending ED to scare him, but Kejriwal is not afraid. ED CBI has no evidence against Kejriwal. People from ED people also tell us that we do not have any evidence but we have to come because of the boss's order.
Aam Aadmi Party does politics of work, other parties do politics of caste-religion, corruption, temple-mosque - Arvind Kejriwal
While addressing the people, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party does politics of work. Traditional parties do politics of caste and religion in the country. There was a politics of corruption and abuse of power. There used to be temple-mosque politics.
No one talked about the politics of work because no one did any work. Leaders of other parties come into politics to earn money. They earn money for five years and then distribute the money just before the elections to buy votes. The game of power and money has been going on for the last 75 years.
We have not come into politics to earn money. Traditional parties only looted the country. We formed the government in Delhi twice in a row with a huge majority because we worked in Delhi. Before us, there were BJP and Congress governments in Delhi, but neither party did any work.
