In a great achievement for District Administration Ludhiana, Mullanpur Dakha Nagar Council has won the “Swachh City” award of North India at a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik received the award on behalf of Mullanpur Dakha Nagar Council from Mr Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.
It is pertinent to mention that under the Swachh Bharat Mission of Government of India, a function to honour best performing cities and towns was held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today and it was also attended by Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.Nagar Council Mullanpur Dakha has got the honor of winning “Swachh city” award of North India under population category 15000-25000.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik participated in the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of Mullanpur Dakha Nagar Council. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also sent a congratulatory message to all the officials/employees of Mullanpur Dakha and residents of this town.
Under Swachh Survey 2023, cities/towns are given star rating under Garbage Free City and ranking is given under ODF. In which the highest ranking is of water plus. Nagar Council Mullanpur Dakha has secured 1 star ranking in Garbage Free City Certification and Water Plus Certificate in ODF. Due to which Nagar Council Mullanpur Dakha has secured the first place among the zone in Swachh Survey 2023.
