Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District Administration has sent off the 7th batch of 43 pilgrims from Ram Mandir Derabassi for Salasar Dham-Khatu Shyam Dham under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra on Wednesday. During the two-day-long pilgrimage, boarding and lodging would be borne by the Punjab Government as per the commitment of Punjab Chief Minister S.  Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Divulging the details, the SDM Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta said that the pilgrims were in a jubilant mood as they were given a chance by the Punjab Government to go on pilgrimage free of cost. Each pilgrim was provided with a blanket, pillow and bed sheet kit besides a toiletry kit so that they could not face any problems during the night stay. The night stay has been arranged at Salasar Dham. 

Tehsildar Derabassi, Kuldeep Singh who flagged off the pilgrimage bus in the presence of Paramjit Singh Randhawa (brother of MLA Derabassi, Kuljit Singh Randhawa) said that the pilgrims were examined before boarding the bus to rule out any health issue during the travelling. He said that the pilgrimage started as a noble initiative by the Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is providing the opportunity to the people who had a strong wish to pay obeisance to the sacred places but could not go due to one or another reason.

The pilgrims who got the opportunity to the pilgrimage expressed gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for launching the scheme-Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra that allows them to visit their holy places without spending any penny by providing a comfortable ride.'
