As a sequel towards taking the governance at people's doorsteps, Secretary, Transport, Prasanna Ramaswamy G, today convened a public darbar at Tangmarg here. The event witnessed overwhelming response from all sections of the society where people apprised the Secretary of issues being faced by them seeking his intervention in redressing the same.

The PRIs and general public put forth various demands and grievances revolving around R&B, Education, PDD, Health, Social Welfare and various related departments pertaining to sub-division Tangmarag. Secretary, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the core purpose of holding these Public Darbars to facilitate direct interaction between the administration and the people, ensuring greater accessibility and public involvement. 

He praised the public representatives for their dedication in attending the Darbar despite the cold weather, showcasing their commitment towards presenting their grievances and demands directly to the concerned officers. Furthermore, Secretary directed the officers to promptly resolve the issues brought forward by the public representatives.

Earlier, Secretary conducted thorough inspection of several stalls set up by Education, Agriculture, Health, ICDS, Food Supplies and other departments. He also distributed Ayush Cards, sanction letters, land passbooks and other certificates among the eligible beneficiaries.

The event was attended by Sub District Magistrate Gulmarg, Syed Altaf, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Baramulla, Muzzam Ali, district officers, PRIs, social activists and local public from adjoining areas of the sub division.
