Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, today held a public outreach programme under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, at Assar. The visit was aimed to address public grievances and demands besides educating people about numerous government welfare schemes as part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign. 

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary urged upon the people to take advantage of government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment. He asked the officials to optimally utilize VBSY platform ensuring saturation of all central government schemes.

During the programme, various public representatives highlighted their issues which inter alia included upgradation of PHC Assar to Trauma Hospital, water sports in Trungul area, re-opening of Gypsum Mining in Assar, restoration of old National Highway in Assar, construction of Sub Divisional Secretariat in Assar, augmentation of roads, schools and other infrastructure.

Commissioner Secretary asked the ADDC Doda to compile and submit the demands along with their technical feasibility reports to his office, so that the same could be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal. Representatives from various government departments provided detailed information, fostering enthusiasm and active public participation in these initiatives. 

The events drew large crowds, indicating active engagement and participation of the community. Later, Commissioner Secretary distributed sanctioned letters of KCC and PMEGP among the beneficiaries besides presenting Soil Health Cards to the farmers. He also administered Viksit Bharat Pledge to the audience during the programme.

Among others SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC, Pran Singh, GM DIC, SE Jal Shakti, ACD, DTO, other officers of district administration, health officials, officials from Rural Development Department and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions were present on the occasion.
