Global technology giant Xiaomi has officially entered the automotive industry, marking its foray with the unveiling of its highly anticipated first electric vehicles (EVs) XiaomiSU7 and XiaomiSU7Max. The announcement underscores Xiaomi's expansion from the smartphone sector into the automotive realm, completing the Human x Car x Home smart ecosystem, as shared on their official platform.

XiaomiSU7Max boasts an impressive acceleration from 0-100km/h in just 2.78 seconds, while XiaomiSU7 achieves the same in 5.28 seconds. The top speed for SU7 is recorded at 210km/h, and for SU7Max, an impressive 265km/h.

The company expressed its enthusiasm, stating, "#XiaomiSU7 goes from 0-100km/h in 2.78 seconds, officially joining the '2s Supercar Club' with a single step." Additionally, the EVs will be available in three distinct color variants: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Verdant Green.

The five core technologies integrated into these EVs include E-Motors, battery technology, HyperCasting, autonomous driving capabilities, and a smart cabin. While the pricing details are yet to be disclosed, industry experts speculate the SU7's price to fall in the range of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan (approximately Rs 25 to 35 lakh).

Anticipated to hit the market next year, the SU7 will be manufactured by a unit of the China-owned automaker BAIC Group in a Beijing factory with an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles.
