Lending patient hearing to the Jan Hit Vikas Committee , Kharar regarding the long pending demands of the city, Cabinet Minister Punjab, Miss Anmol Gagan Mann assured the representatives of the redressal of pending issues on priority.
Chairing a meeting at her Camp Office at Chandigarh, the Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Hospitality, Labour and Investment Promotion Minister Mann said that there were a lot of issues related to infrastructure and basic amenities in the city which is bearing most of the burden of urbanisation most due to vicinity of tri-city.
The Bhagwant Singh Mann Government of Punjab has taken the task of developing the extra infrastructure as well as expanding the existing to give relief to the people. The work of sewerage, water supply (canal based) have been started while the construction of a new Bus Stand is on cards. Besides, the cleanliness and beautification would also taken on priority by resuming remediation of the existing dump of Darpan City.
A town planner cum consultant would be hired to keep the things on track. She said that the issues raised by the committee like removal of encroachments from the bazaars by identifying dedicated vending zones, cleanliness of vacant plots, to deal with stray animals and dogs, action on noise pollution sources, to cover open drains would also be addressed on priority.
The Minister asked the Sub Divisional Magistrate Gurmandar Singh, Executive Officer Municipal Council Manvir Singh Gill, Executive Engineer PSPCL Inderpreet Singh and JE Anil Kumar to consider all the demands of the Jan Hit Vikas Committee on priority and resolve the issues as early as possible.
The representatives of the Committee included Ranjit Singh President, Brij Mohan Sharma General Secretary and Rajinder Sohal Cashier besides Harpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh from Gilco Valley Ward 16, Pal Singh, Master Ajaib Singh, Joginder Singh, Sewa Singh, Mrs Rajinder Kaur, Master Karnail Singh, Jasvir Singh, Satwant Singh, Kesar Singh, Gurcharan Singh and Manjit Singh Cholta.
