As part of weekly Block Diwas programme, District Administration Ganderbal today convened a Mega Grievance Redressal Camp at Baba Daryadin, here. The Camp was chaired by DDC Vice-Chairperson Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad along with Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani.

The camp witnessed overwhelming participation of locals and PRIs who apprised the ADDC of several issues being faced by them and sought his intervention for timely resolution of genuine concerns. Addressing the gathering, the ADDC said that district administration is committed to ensure equitable development of all areas so that none is deprived of basic facilities in the district.

He said that the various schemes are in places which are aimed at providing socio-economic support and self-employment opportunities to the unemployed educated youth and urged locals to take benefit of such schemes. Earlier, PRIs and local residents raised several developmental concerns including augmentation of water supply, development of roads, better power infrastructure and other concerns.

The ADDC heard their issues patiently and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all genuine issues raised are resolved well in time. While replying to the issues raised, the ADDC appreciated the PRIs of the area for prioritizing the genuine concerns of the people and urged them to work with the same enthusiasm and monitor the ongoing developmental works personally so that they get completed on time.

The programme was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, District Social Welfare Officer, BDO Ganderbal, besides, representatives from different departments.
