Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized “Aryans-SC/ST/OBC Counseling” at Aryans Campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala. Hundreds of students participated in the Counseling and 64 students were selected for different courses like B.Tech, B.Tech (LEET), MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, B.Com, B.A., Polytechnic, Nursing (GNM), +1, etc under scholarship. Those who could not participate in the Counseling due to any reason can contact on Toll Free helpline No. 1800-30000-388.Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while giving this information said that this counseling enlightened the students about the various scholarship schemes. He added that the students were made aware about various aspects of Scholarship including eligibility criteria, amount of scholarship, procedure to apply, etc.

Dr Kataria further said that there are various Scholarship Schemes available to SC/ST/OBC students. But students are not fully aware of all those schemes due to which they leave their studies in between as the cost of education is very high. He added that today Aryans tried to help these students by providing them proper counseling and students turned up with their parents. Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that today, first of all the students participated in a special counseling session in which they were made aware about the eligibility criteria, subjects, fees, Career Prospects etc. of all the courses according to their qualification. Then Aryans experts handled the queries of the students regarding various scholarship schemes. He further told that after that the eligible candidates participated in Scholarship Interviews and few meritorious students were given scholarship on the spot.

It is to be mentioned that the students coming under minority category in India like Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, Jainism and Parsi can avail the benefit of Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) scholarship which is meant for the welfare and for financial assistance to brilliant students of minority class to obtain higher as well as professional qualification.It is further to be mentioned that Post Matric Scholarship Scheme's main objective is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
