Jammu and Kashmir, a territory in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent and a portion of the wider area of Kashmir that is claimed by China, Pakistan, and India, is granted special status under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.

Since India's freedom from 1947. From 17 November 1952 until 31 October 2019. Jammu and Kashmir was governed as a state by India. It was granted autonomy over its internal affairs, a distinct constitution, and a state flag under Article 370.

In today's statement The supreme court also mentioned in the judgement that, at that time, Article 370 was a temporary solution at that time due to the war situation. Jammu and Kashmir's internal sovereignty is the same as that of other states. We have not held any views on whether Jammu and Kashmir maintained any internal or sovereignty after it joined the Union of India.
