District Kishtwar today marked the commencement of the inaugural phase of the expansive public outreach initiative, ‘Back to Village phase 5 (B2V-5)’, spanning across 73 Panchayats within the Kishtwar district. The Villages adorned a festive ambiance as the public enthusiastically engaged in the program, extending warm receptions to visiting officers and offering valuable insights and feedback on the work accomplished by diverse departments.

Numerous activities were conducted during the program, encompassing Gram Sabhas for the formulation of GPDP, public grievance redressal camps, collaborative plantation drives with forest departments, cleanliness initiatives, and various other engagements. Throughout the engagement, Visiting Officers conducted Gram Sabhas, Bal Sabhas, and Mahila Sabhas, advocating the pledge to deter drug abuse. Special Camps, including health initiatives, catered to the specially-abled and senior citizens. 

Concurrently, certificates such as income certificates, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, Baby Kits, and land passbooks were distributed to beneficiaries across Panchayat Ghars. The Visiting Officers also immersed themselves in sports, talent hunts, cultural events, and youth engagements across various schools within different Panchayats, promoting initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Swach Gram, and self-employment schemes.

Inspecting newly constructed houses under PM Awas Plus, facilitating beneficiaries in Greh Pravesh ceremonies, and verifying developments were among the tasks accomplished by the Visiting Officers. In the presence of Prabhari Officer Roshan Lal, Special Secretary Labour and Employment J&K, accompanied by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, a pivotal Gram Sabha transpired at Panchayat Matta-A in block Kishtwar. Here, field functionaries and PRI members presented a comprehensive development profile of the Panchayat.

Meanwhile, ADDC Kishtwar, Sham Lal, along with Visiting Officer Sh. Riaz Ahmed Butt (Sr. Lecturer, I/C Principal DIET), spearheaded a Plantation Drive in Panchayat Hidyal. Additionally, they actively participated in the Gram Sabha to assess the Panchayat's developmental trajectory through interactions with PRI members. Prabhari Officer Dharam Paul (Deputy Director -AV, Information) presided over the Gram Sabha at Panchayat Bhagna B in Block Nagseni. 

Here, field functionaries and PRI members offered insights into the developmental landscape. Moreover, in the presence of PRI and RDD Staff, they inaugurated the Solid and Liquid Waste Management Unit in the Panchayat. Prabhari Officer Rajnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary Public Works J&K presided over the Gram Sabha under B2V5 proceeding at Pochhal A1 and in presence of ADDC inaugurated sports events and plantation drives.

Dr. Mohsin Raza, Deputy Secretary Health and Visiting Officer of Sigdi B2, actively participated in a free medical Camp organized by the Department of Ayush Kishtwar at TRC Mughalmaidan. Over 100 beneficiaries received free immunity-boosting medicines. The collaborative efforts of frontline workers, district officers, PRIs, including Sarpanchs, Panchs, and the proactive involvement of locals, highlighted the unity in the integrity pledge, Nasha Mukht Bharat rally, and the collective commitment witnessed during the Back to Village 5 program.
