Ashmah International School recently held an enchanting cultural evening to warmly welcome and orient new students to its vibrant academic community. The event was meticulously designed to boost the confidence of the freshers and enhance their personalities as they embark on their educational journey at Ashmah International School.

The cultural evening was a lively affair, featuring an array of activities that allowed new students to showcase their talents and get to know their peers. The event encompassed a diverse range of programs, including modeling, dancing, singing, tattoo making, mehndi (henna) competitions, and nail art contests.

In addition to these engaging activities, students from the school's Life Sciences and Food Sciences departments displayed their entrepreneurial spirit by presenting their startups. These startups included innovative food items, exquisite resin-based jewelry, and delightful Diwali gift items.

The event was graced by the presence of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who inaugurated the proceedings as the esteemed Chief Guest. He took the opportunity to interact with the students, offering words of motivation and encouragement to help them embark on their academic journeys. Chancellor Bahra emphasized Ashmah International School's unwavering commitment to providing top-notch academic and hostel facilities to its students.

Dr. Parvinder Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, emphasized the significance of such celebratory events in helping freshers establish positive relationships with their seniors and adapt seamlessly to their new academic environment. Dr. Simerjit Kaur, the Dean of Students Welfare, extended a warm and affectionate welcome to the newcomers, assuring them of a nurturing and conducive learning environment for their holistic development. She expressed gratitude to the new students for choosing Ashmah International School and reiterated the institution's commitment to their growth and success.

The cultural evening also included competitions and titles to celebrate the new students' talents and achievements. The evening saw Anuradha crowned as Miss Fresher, while Melody was honored as Miss International. Naomi was declared the Runner-up, and Isha Rana was awarded the title of Miss Confidence. Mansi was recognized as Miss Personality, adding to the sense of accomplishment among the students.

The competitions witnessed spirited participation, with Tamana securing the first prize in the dancing competition. Gurleen and Naima followed in the second and third positions, respectively. Maheesa showcased her vocal talent and claimed the first prize in the singing competition. Jaspinder and Manpreet secured the second and third positions, respectively.

The tattoo-making competition was equally impressive, with Khushi earning the first prize, followed by Muskan in the second position and Prerna in the third. Maheesa demonstrated her mehndi (henna) artistry and was crowned the winner, while Nishtha and Misha earned recognition in the second and third positions, respectively. The Nail Art competition witnessed Nitika's remarkable skills, earning her the first prize and admiration from all.

The event came to a delightful close with the Chancellor and other dignitaries recognizing and honoring the competition winners. The cultural evening not only celebrated the new students but also created cherished memories for both the freshers and their seniors, all while fostering a sense of camaraderie and inclusivity within the school community.

The successful coordination of the event was made possible through the efforts of a dedicated team, including Sahreen Naseer, Navdeep, Dr. Anita, Dr. Harinder, Dr. Parul, Saba, and Kavita Rajput. Ashmah International School remains dedicated to providing a dynamic and welcoming campus environment for all its students, nurturing their personal and academic growth.
