Under the able and supreme guidance of the ld District n Sessions Judge cum Chairman District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur Mr Dilbagh Singh Johal , a Walkathon Rally was organised today morning by the DLSA Hsp from the Lower Court Complex Hoshiarpur till the DAV College Hoshiarpur in the wake of the Punjab Against Drug Addiction - A Legal Services Initiative Campaign so launched by the Honble High Court of Punjab and Haryana .
The walkathon was taken out on the concluding day of the said campaign which had commenced on the 1st of October . The District and Sessions Judge Hoshiarpur along with the Judicial officers of Hoshiarpur, Deputy commissioner Komal Mittal , SSP Sartaj Singh Chahal , Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana, Deputy Medical Commissioner Ms Harbans Kaur , advocates , law students of Sarwanand Giri and the court staff actively participated to raise awareness against drug abuse n drug addiction and walked towards a drug free Punjab .
The District and Sessions judge while speaking on the occasion stated that the endeavours n fight against drug abuse / Drug addiction should continue in order to deal with the drug quagmire in Punjab . He thanked all those present for their participation in the event. The CJM cum Secretary DLSA Hsp , Ms Aprajita Joshi said that a multipronged approach with the combined efforts of all the stakeholders is the need of the hour to curb the drug menace .
